Game Tester/ Quality Assurance

Atlus U.S.A., Inc. is looking for Game Testers to work on an upcoming console title. Testers will be responsible for playing through the game and reporting bugs accurately and clearly. Since the majority of the bugs will be text-related, individuals with a strong command of the English language are preferred. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and a team player with good communication skills.

Requirements

  • LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY (We are located in the Irvine, CA. Applicants outside of the Orange County area will not be considered.)
  • Previous software testing experience preferred, console gaming experience required.
  • 18 years or older only.
  • Strong reading, writing, and spelling skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Passion for games, positive attitude, attention to detail.
  • Hours are 9:00-5:30 M-F plus paid overtime.
  • This is a temporary position lasting the duration of the project (approximately 4-8 weeks).

  • SENIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    The Senior Development Manager is responsible for the technical infrastructure department. The manager will support, organize, and coordinate online game publishing, business processes, and applications systems. The Senior Development Manager should have excellent leadership, project planning, and architectural direction for the Infrastructure team. This individual manages the design, development, and maintenance of all Atlus USA applications. The Senior Development Manager will be responsible for managing users, external contractors, and other necessary parties to facilitate and manage the development of new applications used internally by Atlus USA to improve business operations, marketing, or other business units. The Senior Development Manager will also work to ensure projects are clearly defined and deadlines are met.

    Additionally, this position will oversee all aspects of the application development lifecycle, including systems analysis, design, development, deployment, maintenance and enhancements. This individual provides project oversight to ensure that the development and delivery of information systems solutions meet or exceed the expected business requirements and that this work is completed and delivered on time and within budget.

    The Senior Development Manager will also be responsible for reporting the status and progress of all project efforts. These reports should anticipate and identify any issues that may inhibit achieving the project objectives and provide corrective actions and mitigation strategies. This individual ensures that all provided technology services and solutions meet business needs for reliability, performance, and security. He/She also supports, troubleshoots and maintains production systems in order to optimize performance, resolve problems, and provide timely follow-up on identified issues. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

    Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the development of all Atlus USA applications. These applications include administration tools, system management tools, new products, product extensions, etc
  • Recommend policies and implement solutions that relate to content management and manage the workflow procedures for content approval.
  • Maintain documentation on content publishing and other procedures to ensure consistent, effective and appropriate use of development in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and training as needed for development staff
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the "big picture" and key business drivers for the various departments and projects
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in application design and development which may enhance the current environment
  • Understand how these new technologies can be applied to current applications for competitive advantage and make recommendations for their implementation
  • Leverage, coordinate, and manage application development teams
  • Global work experience and ability to manage teams overseas
  • Travel will be required - Globally
  • Manage budgets for the infrastructure department

    Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 7 years experience and demonstrated proficiency in application development
  • At least 5 years experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and decision support systems in a client-server environment
  • At least 3 years experience in project management over multiple development projects (internationally)
  • Technical experience using Microsoft development tools (SQL and SQL Server, Visual Studio, ASP, .NET, etc.) and HTML
  • Methodical understanding of business and technical requirements and the ability to translate those objectives into discrete projects
  • Ability to quickly perform problem isolation in an online environment
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and editing skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have flexible work hours and respond accordingly
  • A leader with strong team play mind set
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

  • SENIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

    THE SENIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING, DEVELOPING, AND MANAGING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS OBJECTIVES AND DIRECTLY MANAGING DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, INCLUDING THE GAME TEAMS, BILLING, AND QUALITY ASSURANCE. THIS POSITION WILL ENSURE THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATION PROVIDES OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO PROSPECTIVE AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS, BY FOSTERING AN EFFECTIVE AND FOCUSED WORKING ENVIRONMENT. THIS POSITION IS ALSO REQUIRED TO DEVELOP THE OPERATION IN A WAY THAT IS SCALEABLE WITH THE COMPANY'S GROWTH.

  • Identify trends and develop plans to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to customer support standards.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years Operations experience within a global support center environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and a significant degree of professional maturity and presence to interact effectively with Senior Management Team.
  • Strong project management skills including strong detail orientation and follow through skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess the satisfaction levels and needs of customers.
  • Educational Requirements:Bachelor's degree or other advanced education is preferred but not required.

  • GAME PRODUCER

    The Game Producer is responsible for overall game performance of a significant MMO title including revenue, game content, and community growth. This Producer manages and coordinates the day to day activities of the game team supporting this MMO title. The Producer is also responsible for gathering the necessary resources from our engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and business development teams which will contribute to their game title's growth and success.

    The Game Producer should posses a background that includes project management of multi-phased projects, daily management of hourly employees, and driving revenue based on marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of their gaming community and the ability to balance scope, time, cost, risk and quality of their title while also developing a high performance team.

    The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

    Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing game product analysis by working closely with the Director of Online Games to ensure project requirements are clearly defined, understood, and delivered
  • Prepare and maintain daily documentation to include game project plans, status reports, risk assessment plans, change requests, and resource requests
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest MMOG market trends and customer requirements in both the US and foreign markets
  • Define requirements for administrative tools used to manage the game
  • Provide strategic direction to the game experience based upon community knowledge and expertise
  • Work with your Community Manager to understand community needs and develop ways to effectively address them

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Produced and managed at least 2 - 3 MMO or PC based titles
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the game industry, with increasing levels of responsibilities
